BRIEF: Portsmouth Naval Medical offers special-needs course

Sept. 16--PORTSMOUTH -- Orientation for a six-week social boundaries and relationships course for military-connected youth and young adults will take place Monday.
CIRCLES is a visual learning method and video program for people with autism or other learning disabilities, mild to severe levels of intellectual disabilities, sensory impairments and affective disorders. The six-week course will begin on Sept. 27 from 1 to 2:30 p.m., according to a news release from Portsmouth Naval Medical Center.
To participate in the course, a parent must attend Monday's orientation at 6 p.m. at Portsmouth Naval Medical Center.
The course will end Nov. 1. A parent must attend each session with their child, the news release said.
