Adepts (Adept B I, Adept C Ii, And Adept F Iii)
The ADEPTs are body powered terminal devices for a prosthetic arm. Model F III is designed for infants age 6 months to 4 years; model C II for children from 4 to 8/9 years; and model B I for children 9/10 years through adult. The devices utilizes a natural opposed thumb and forefinger design (prehensile) and allows the user to grip with as much or as little force as necessary for a particular activity. The grips are made of aircraft grade aluminum and tempered steel or reinforced plastic support
Diy Plastic Soda Bottle Prosthesis
---- DO IT YOURSELF ENTRY --------- PURPOSE: To create a do-it-yourself below-the-elbow prosthetic device suitable for light-duty activities for individuals with arm amputation in low-income countries. This technique is intended for use by trained prosthetists, it is intended to be performed only using a plaster cast of the residual limb. Step 1: Remove the bottom of the bottle and place over the plaster model. Then apply heat to the lower portion to form the trimline. Step 2: Heat the bottle un
Grip I & Grip Ii
The Grip I (GP1000) and Grip II (GP2000) are body-powered terminal devices for prosthetic wrists. Grip I is for adults only with large hands and below the elbow amputation. Grip II is for children (approximately 11 years or older) and adults with average hand size, wrist disarticulates, below the elbow amputations and partial hand. The Grips feature cable operated voluntary closing, pull-to-close prehensile action, and "active" neuro-muscular system participation. The range of gripping forces is
Hands Free Tool Changing Station (Model Rch06-0N2)
The Hands Free Tool Changing Station, model RCH06-0N2, is a prosthetic accessory and terminal device changing station designed for use by individuals with upper extremity amputation who use hand prostheses. This unit enables the user to change upper extremity prosthetic terminal devices without the use of hands. The unit has three Acidel Delran tool holders made of 316 stainless steel mounted on a single base. DIMENSIONS: Base is 7.88 x 8.38 inches; tool holders are 2 inches tall.
Heavy Duty Passive Hook (Model Ph02-0N2)
The Heavy Duty Passive Hook, model PH02-0N2, is a terminal device designed for use by individuals with upper extremity amputation. This terminal device helps the user to work out on an exercise machine. It attaches to an N-Abler II or Wrist Unit with 0.5-inch 20 female threads. It comes as a single unit in one standard size. The hook is a plastic coated 0.5-inch 316 stainless steel bar, connected to a standard N-Abler shank or a 0.5-inch 20 threaded shank of 316 stainless steel.
N-Abler I
The N-Abler I is a terminal device for an upper extremity prosthetic designed to enable individuals with upper extremity amputation to utilize tools and utensils. Designed for use by stronger individuals with unilateral below the elbow amputation, this device is made of anodized aircraft aluminum and fits standard wrist units. Features include 360-degree rotation, 60-degree range of motion, quick-release spring-loaded friction quick disconnect. OPTIONS: Attachable cutlery, kitchen tools, gardeni
N-Abler Ii
The N-Abler II is a terminal device for an upper extremity prosthetic designed to enable individuals with upper extremity amputation to utilize tools and utensils. This device is made of anodized aircraft aluminum and fits standard wrist units. This unit can also be used with the N-Abler III Wrist/Hand Orthotic (see entry) by individuals without an amputation who have hand wealness or disabilities. Features include 360-degree rotation, 60-degree range of motion, quick-release positive locking qu
N-Abler Iii Wrist / Hand Orthotic (W.h.o.)
The N-Abler III Wrist/Hand Orthotic (W.H.O.) is a hand orthosis designed to enable individuals with upper extremity amputation or disability to utilize tools and utensils. Available in a soft model or a carbon fiber model, this device can be used with the N-Abler II (not included; see entry) by individuals with prosthetics or by individuals without prosthetics. OPTIONS: Attachable cutlery, kitchen tools, eating utensils, gardening tools, sports equipment (hunting, fishing, golf, and weightliftin
Phoenix Hand
The Phoenix Hand is designed for use by individuals with upper extremity amputation. The Phoenix was developed to give amputees more control over their lives and accessibility. This prosthesis is a lightweight device made of 3D printed material, orthodontic rubber bands, and elastic cords. This prosthesis is wrist driven, so the user must have a functional wrist and enough palm to push against the device to force the fingers closed when the wrist is bent.
Soft-Touch Grip Iii
The Soft-Touch Grip III is a body powered terminal device for a prosthetic arm designed to by used by children aged 11 to adult with wrist disarticulate, below-elbow amputation, elbow disarticulate, or above-elbow amputation. The grip may be used as a complement for users of the Grip I or Grip II (see separate entries) or for amputees using myo-electric hands or split hooks who wish to have a better performing prothesis. This cable operated, voluntary closing prehensile action device is made of
Super Sport
The Super Sport is a passive terminal device for a prosthetic arm for use by individuals with below-elbow, elbow disarticulates, and long above-elbow amputation in sports/recreational and domestic activities, and in vocational situations dealing with materials handling and manipulation of products which are fragile or have marrable surfaces (veneers, formica, glass, etc).
