Braille Wave is a refreshable Braille display designed for use by individuals who are blind or have low vision. This slimline 40-character Braille display provides access to most computer operating systems, including DOS, Windows 95/98/ME, Windows NT/2000, and Linux, and features a built-in note-taking facility that can be used with or without connection to a computer. The included software enables notes taken to be transferred to Microsoft Word on a personal computer. Standard features include 40 concave Braille cells with routing keys, status cells that can be switched on as required, four megabytes of memory, external keyboard connection capability, eleven function keys, and a serial port. POWER: Uses a rechargeable battery for up to 20 hours of use. Charging time is a maximum of three hours. DIMENSIONS: 14.1 x 4.7 x 1.3 inches.
