Dealerships collect toys for special needs children

News Leader - 12/1/2017

Ron Anderson Chevrolet, Paul Clark Ford and Rick Keffer Dodge Chrysler Jeep are again competing this year in a toy drive for the local charity Brave Like Bronson.

The organization bears the name of Bronson Roth, who suffered a traumatic brain injury at birth that caused cerebral palsy, a seizure disorder and autonomic dysfunction, according to the charity's website.

Through Dec. 6, the dealerships are collecting toys that will go to special needs children and families who attend the organization's Christmas party. More than 200 people attended last year.

Yvette Patch, the director of the charity, said that the organization is still accepting applications from Nassau County families with special needs children for this year's event. She can be contacted at bravelikebronson@comcast.net.

Individuals who wish to get involved can make toy donations at any of the dealerships. Monetary donations can be made on the organization's website ? bravelikebronson.com.

Paul Clark Ford is offering a special incentive for donations: Anyone who brings in a new, unwrapped toy by Dec. 6 will receive $10 off an oil change for any type of vehicle.
