Galt appointed to developmental disabilities council

Elizabeth Galt, of Farmington, is one of 30 women appointed Oct. 27 by Gov. Eric Greitens to leadership positions on a number of the state's boards and commissions

Galt, an advocate for autism awareness across the state, has been appointed to the Missouri Developmental Disabilities Council.

Galt, who has autism, is an active speaker in southeast Missouri, and has worked with primary, secondary and higher education to provide inclusive learning for students with developmental disabilities.

She was recognized for a project when she organized and raised funds for an inclusive playground facility through Parents Advocating Developmental Disabilities in Farmington.
