This training was arranged by HOD Deputy Chief Joseph Engle, who has a son with Autism, after he saw a news story about the training being offered to police officers in Lexington. “As the father of an autistic child, I wanted this training for my co-workers so they will have the ability to interact with autistic individuals in an effective and compassionate manner”, Engle said.
