I would like to thank Tyler Stocks for his wonderfully articulate and moving letter to The Daily Reflector’s opinion page, Monday, April 17.
It was especially moving for me because I have a granddaughter diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome, and everything the guest columnist said about the challenges to be faced rings true to me.
My granddaughter (as is typical of “Aspergers”) is quite gifted, in her case especially as a writer, but has challenges and hurdles to overcome in addition to those that life presents to all of us.
I am sharing Tyler Stock’s letter with my granddaughter and her family for the support and inspiration it offers.
