BRIEF: Liberty Tax promoting autism awareness Saturday

Wilson Daily Times - 3/3/2017

March 03--Liberty Tax Service has teamed up with Great Accomplishments Academy to host a roadside party from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday at 1101-B Ward Blvd.

Organizers say the event will raise awareness of autism and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and provide information on steps people can take to help those living with the conditions.

Liberty Tax Service will donate $50 to the Great Accomplishments Academy for each person who comes in to get a paid tax return, said LaShawnon Battle, manager of the two Liberty Tax offices in Wilson.

"Please come out and join us while we support the children of our community," Battle said in a news release announcing the event.

Great Accomplishments Academy is a Wilson school open to children diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome, high-functioning autism and pervasive development disorders such as ADHD.

To find a local Liberty Tax office, call 866-871-1040 or visit www.libertytax.com. Appointments are accepted but not required.
