BRIEF: Skating club to hold Christmas show this weekend

Dec. 09--The Point Mallard Figure Skating Club is holding its annual Christmas show this weekend with the theme "Who-Ville on Ice." The shows will be at the Point Mallard Ice Complex in Decatur.

Show times are Saturday at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. Ticket prices range from $1 to $20 and are $9 at the door.

A check will be presented at the 1 p.m. Saturday show to Special Olympics skaters from funds raised at the club's "Bikes and Blade" program in August.

One of the skaters will be competing in the Special Olympics World Winter Games in Austria in March.

The club said eight-week learn-to-skate classes begin Jan. 5. For more information, visit bit.ly/2hdG5y4.
