Deputies asking for help in locating missing West Volusia teens

March 14-- Mar. 14--Two teens went missing from their homes Wednesday, along with two vehicles belonging to one of the teen's family and the Volusia County Sheriff's Office is asking the public to help find them.

Austin Barrett, 17, of 211 Alexandra Woods Drive in DeBary, was last seen at home shortly before 11 a.m. Wednesday by a family friend, deputies said. He is diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome, a high-functioning form of autism. He is described as a white male, roughly 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing up to 210 pounds.

Two vehicles were taken from the Barrett home -- a silver 1979 Datsun 2-door with Florida tag AYQG66 and a dark green Mercedes AMG E55 4-door, with Florida tag 833MHR, according to the Sheriff's Office.

The other missing teen, Jonathan Francisco Castro, 17, of 149 E. Elm St. in Orange City, was last seen at home at 6 a.m. Wednesday. He was last seen wearing a black and blue flannel long-sleeved shirt, blue jeans and black and white shoes, deputies said. He is a Hispanic male, roughly 5 feet 9 inches tall and about 150 pounds.

Deputies said the two may have left together.

Anyone who knows the whereabouts of these teens is urged to call 9-1-1.
